In total, she worked at the Cleveland Clinic’s Hillcrest Hospital for 26 years in the postpartum and lactation departments. Additionally, she works at Breastfeeding Medicine of Northeast Ohio, under the auspices of Senders Pediatrics.
Maya is passionate about teaching consultants and parents about her world-renowned, easy-to-implement techniques in breast massage. Maya’s passion stems in part from her great aunt Reeva, who worked as a nurse-midwife in Minsk, Belarus, and introduced her to therapeutic breast massage before the technique had a name.

Lisa grew up in Indianapolis and continues to live and love this town with her husband, 5 children and family. A nurse practitioner and international board certified lactation consultant with 25 years of experience in maternal child health first working in the hospital settings of labor and delivery, postpartum , NICU, newborn nursery, and perinatal education before starting her own private practice 8 years ago.
Lisa has expertise in tongue and lip ties and their impact on feeding, oral development and the field of myofunctional therapy. This event takes a different approach. The meeting space is filled with natural light with views of beautiful vineyards and redwood trees. Interactive learning flows naturally alongside self-care, and time for reflection.
Burnout among perinatal professionals isn't just a personal challenge—it's a community health issue. When birth workers are depleted, families receive less than optimal care. By investing in your own well-being, you're truly investing in the families you serve. I call this the ripple effect.
Soulwise Community gatherings provide a sustainable model for integrating wellness into your practice and creating the support networks that keep our work viable over the long term.
We'll be staying together in the Ranch House, a beautiful two-story, Spanish-style brick home built in 1930. The house offers plenty of room to gather with the group or slip away for some quiet time.
This stunning house features 15 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms (all bathrooms are en-suite), comfortably accommodating our group with no more than two people per bedroom. Each bedroom includes its own private bathroom with a shower, ensuring privacy and convenience for all guests.
The home's common areas include a living room with a stone fireplace, a sun room, a library, a formal dining room, and a full kitchen. Outside, a large courtyard with a fire pit provides a beautiful gathering space. A labyrinth and swimming pool are just steps away, and multiple hiking trails surround the property.
We will enjoy our meals together in the dining hall - a 1 minute walk from the house.
Tracy, founder of Soulwise Community, has supported new families since 2003, beginning as a Birth and Postpartum Doula and now practicing as a Maternal/Child Health Nurse and Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She facilitates Postpartum Doula trainings and hosts perinatal professional gatherings. She is passionate about building community among care specialists, enabling providers to refer clients confidently and support families comprehensively.
